Dudley Paul LeBlanc

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Dudley consistently dedicated himself to both his family, local community, state and nation. He literally wore numerous hats in his constant service. His life was well lived and his time well spent as the Commander of the American Legion Landry-Domingue Post 328 for which he always participated at District, State, and National Conventions. Dudley was also a loyal dual member of the Doric Lodge 87 & Master of Ascension Lodge 251 Free and Accepted, as well as a proud Shriner for the ACACIA Temple St. Mary Shrine Club, a 40/8 Grand Correspondent on the Local and State Level and the Sous Directeur VAVS. To ensure he kept busy doing good deeds, he was also an active AARP Chapter 5033 Member, and a vital member of the Pierre Part Belle River Museum Group. Filled with a deep faith, Dudley also was a steadfast member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church where he often was seen serving as an usher. After his retirement at Triad Nitrogen, Dudley began the career of his dreams with the Veterans Affairs as a Veteran Assistant Counselor. His family is deeply proud of all Dudley's accomplishments and his servant's heart.

Those left to cherish Dudley's beautiful memory is his wife of 52 years, Georgina Himel LeBlanc of Pierre Part; his four children, Jamie Louviere and her husband, Jerritt, of Loreauville, Jeannine Dupre and her husband, Petie, of Bayou Blue, Tracey Alleman and her husband, Rory, of Pierre Part, and Dudley LeBlanc Jr. and his wife, Amber, of Pierre Part; nine grandchildren, Bryant LeBlanc and his wife, Meagan, Jay Jay Louviere and his wife, Staci, Ali Louviere and her boyfriend, Daylon Poirier, Shay Dupre, Sydni and Brooks Alleman, MaKenzie Gautreau and her husband, Bryce, Kylie and Zoie LeBlanc; six great-grandchildren, Olivia, Harper, Rhett, Greyson, Layne, and Lillian; his grand dog, Louie and one sister, Helena Rivere and her husband, Harold.

He was preceded in death by his parents John "June" and Jane "Jeanne" LeBlanc; his siblings, Kenneth, Rogers, John Jr., Dwayne LeBlanc, and Doreen Landry and her husband, Rodd Sr.

The family requests that a time of visitation be observed on Sunday, July 4, 2021 from 6pm to 9pm at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part with an honor ceremony being held by the American Legion at 7pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 5, 2021 from 8am until time of dismissal at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part with a rosary being prayed at 9am and special services from several associations immediately following. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Dudley following Monday's visitation at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part. He will be laid to rest in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Belle River where military honors will be rendered by his fellow American Legion members.
