Donald served 2 service Army tours during peace time then called again during the Berlin-Cuban crisis. He worked at Shell Oil for 28 years as a dedicated Crane Operator before his retirement. His love for playing music gave great entertainment to all, and his most famous recording “Hey Little Crawfish” is still enjoyed by many. He had a green thumb, and family and friends reaped his garden delights through many years of hard work. He loved living on the bayou and would fish and ride with family and friends to Lake Verret. He especially loved spending time with his family and putting his grandchildren and great grandchildren in his infamous “bear hug trap”.
Special thanks to Journey Hospice and especially Joselyn and Bailey, Dr. Chauvin and staff, and Dr. Michel Hirsch, and the many visits from Fr. Al Davidson.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude or American Cancer Society. Pallbearers will be Glenn Waguespack, Terry Duhon, Todd Joffrion, Scott Waguespack, Gregory Duhon, and Peyton Michel.
