Pickens, SC – Mrs. Norma Jean Pugh Lee, age 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Mrs. Lee was born in Allen County, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Alva Butler Pugh and Hettie Esther Austin Pugh and wife to the late William Lee.
Survivors include daughters Barbara Romeril (Kevin) of Indiana, Indianapolis, Linda Spirlin (Larry) of Dallas, North Carolina, Patricia Neely (Rick) of Pickens, South Carolina, Tresia Hendricks of Pickens, South Carolina. Also surviving are fifteen loving grandchildren and thirty loving and precious great grandchildren and nine most precious great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Lee was predeceased by daughter Janet Furbush and a number of brothers and sisters. She was the last of her siblings.
Mrs. Lee loved to fish for anything that would bite. She loved family having been from a large family. She was known to be an out of this world cook never having to measure any ingredients. Mrs. Lee bonded with her grandchildren through T.V. entertainment. She was a loving mother of five daughters and understood the meaning of motherhood.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park. 2410 Gentry Memorial Hwy Pickens, South Carolina 29671.
