Mrs. Nancy E Hanson

Nancy Edna Owen Hanson, 87, of Easley went to be with her Lord Friday November 23, 2018. Born In Transylvania County North Carolina she is the daughter of the late Calvin and Ethel McCall Owen. She is the wife of the late William A. Hanson.

Mrs. Hanson worked in the public school system in food service and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed singing and cooking her famous apple sauce pie.

Survivors include four sons; Benny Hanson (Shirley) of Easley, Ray Calvin Hanson of Easley, Jack Edward Hanson (Donna) of Pickens, Joe David Hanson (Lisa) of Easley, five sisters: Nola Pruitt of Asheville, North Carolina, Grace Reece of Asheville, North Carolina, Cumile Galloway (Dewey) of Balsam Grove North Carolina, Veda McGuire of Pisgah Forest ,North Carolina Vivian Watkins of Texas. Mrs. Hanson also leaves 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren to share in her memory. In addition to her parents and her husband Mrs. Hanson is predeceased by four sisters and one brother.

A visitation will be held Monday November 26, 2018 6pm until 8pm at Dillard Funeral Home Pickens, SC. An additional visitation will be held Tuesday November 27, 2018 1pm until 2pm. Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2pm. Burial will follow service at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens, South Carolina.
