Mr. Marvin F Davis

Mr. Davis was born in Pickens, SC on August 17, 1925 to the late Clarence Wister and Margie Hughes Davis. He loved his family and prayed for them all by name every day. Mr Davis had a favorite pastime of reading his Bible, and also enjoyed gardening. He worked hard all of his life and retired from Ryobi.

Marvin is survived by his six children: Frances Roper, Marie Chappell (Gaines), Wayne Davis (Donna), Jerry Davis (Shelby), Carter Davis (Lynn), and Victor Davis (Janice); seven grandchildren: Mark Roper (Heather), Scott Davis (Crystal), Lee Davis (Tammy), BJ Davis (Melissa), Tammy Davis (Kevin Greer), Nicholas Davis (Suzanne), Eric Davis (Laura) and Chris Davis (Diana); 22 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his loving wife and parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Gary Roper.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 21, 2022 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Dillard Funeral Home.
