Lillian Cook Stewart, 104, of Six Mile, went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2019, at Heartland Health Care, Greenville, SC. She was married to the late J. Furman Stewart for 65 years and was the daughter of the late Claud L. and Minnie G. Cook. She loved working in her yard, cooking delicious meals and spending time with her family and friends.
Her survivors are two daughters, Nancy S. Pitts (Jim) and Doris S. Guerreri (Bob). Grandchildren: Jonathan M. Pitts (Jackie), Amy C. Guerreri and Kelley E. Pitts (grand daughter-in-law). Great grandchildren include Will Pitts, Jon Walker Pitts, Colton Pitts and Lilli Pitts.
She is survived by a brother, Claude L. Cook, Jr.
She was predeceased by her grandson, J. Stewart Pitts, her dear twin sister, Mildred Peterson, Lucille Garrett, Kathleen Stewart and Irene Cook; brothers Roy Cook, Leland Cook, Houston Cook, Wallace Cook and John Marion Cook.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 21, 2019, at Dillard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Pickens, SC. Her pastor, Rev. Tim Friar, will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Her son-in-law, Dr. James M. Pitts will officiate at the graveside.
