Kenneth C. Holliday Pickens – Kenneth Cecil Holliday, 82, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca. Mr. Holliday was born on March 9, 1932 in Pickens County. He was the son of the late J. D. and Madga Moneta Kennemore Holliday. He worked for Alice Manufacturing for around 50 years when he retired as a supervisor. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War where he served from 1951-1955. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and also a member of Keowee Masonic Lodge No. 79 AFM. Mr. Holliday is survived by his wife of 51 years, Chloe Fay Chastain Holliday; a daughter, Vonda Fay Holliday of the home; two brothers, Rev. Charles Holliday (Estella) and Ray Holliday (Brenda) both of Easley; a sister, Derolyn Crowe of Easley and a sister-in-law, Lucille Holliday of Easley. Also he is survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Holliday was predeceased by a brother, Maurice Holliday. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Martin, the Rev. Charles Holliday and the Rev. Tommy Owen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Dillard Funeral Home In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church, 3450 Table Rock Rd., Pickens, SC 29671.
