Joyce was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Ethel Smith and Theodore Harris.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with family, cooking and sewing. She also enjoyed watching Tennessee Volunteers football and playing Bingo.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 65 years Junnie Brown; her three sons: Randy Brown (Kim), Gary Brown, Ronald Brown, and her daughter Lisa Cassell (Ray); her grandchildren Rebecca Brown, Chase Brown (Aleeia), Christopher Reeves (Sheree), Corey Cassell, her great grandchildren: Nicolas Cameron, Brianna Hill, Kayleigh Reeves and Jayden Reeves Crocker; her siblings Calvin Harris (Susie), Marie Linkus, Wanda Thomas, Junior Harris and Kenneth Harris.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Laverne Washam; her brother David Harris and her granddaughter Amanda Brown.
A visitation for Joyce will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm at Dillard Funerals and Cremation, 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy, Pickens, SC with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm. The committal service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
