Dear Sisters and Brothers of Jerry:  

I did not come to Jerry's funeral service  - do not think anyone let me know at the time- but I did sign up for "Remembrance Day "  at some point.  I do not check my email every day, so missed it on April 7, 2024.

I have many fond memories of coming to your home on Hwy 183 in my childhood, playing hide-n-seek  and laughing a lot together as we ate good food.    I remember one of you nicknamed my Mama
 "Ole Silly "

Would love to have notes back from any of you who read this.

Bro. Jerry Kelley was a friend to all.  He was so nice to the young children of our church.  When he would walk by them.... he would give them all (at different times) a little bit of money from his pocket.  Children loved it.  I'll never forget the last Sunday morning in church when I seen him, and his smile.  Bro. Kelley was from the old school and reminded me so much, of my dad, who was brought up the same way.   Thank God for memories!
He has a jump on us Christians. I hope to be there soon for a big reunion, with all our family gone home.  Much love to the family.

I count Jerry Kelly as one of my good friends. I was his pastor at one time but I also worked for him too.  I have always deeply appreciated how he helped us in time of need, and more than once. Memories will stay with me of his kindness and support. Praying for his family!

We always enjoyed going to school and other places with Jerry he was a lot of fun. Our prayers will be with your family I pray 🙏 God will bless each of you and keep his hand in each of you. 

To Omega and your children and grandchildren;   and to all Jerry's brothers and sisters:

I have fond memories of many happy times together at Allen and Edith's house when we were growing up, playing outside and eating together.  Last time I saw Jerry was at Bethel  Presbyterian when  quite a few of you came to the Taylor reunion there 6-8 years ago.  I was glad to read of his faith in Christ and his generous behavior with neighbors and co-workers.  

Praying for God's comfort for each of you. 



Mr. and Mrs. Kelley and several family members have been my friends for many years. He talked to me often about how much he loved his family. He always brought eggs by and they were always the best because I knew he gave them to us with sincere compassion from his heart. He would say these are for you and your husband. Enjoy! Mrs. Kelley you too have always been so sweet and humble. Please let me know if you need anything and you and the family will be in our prayers. Love y’all.
