Six Mile, SC – Mr. Garland Wayne Pilgrim, age 71, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 25, 2021. He was born in Six Mile, South Carolina and was the son of the late Wade Hampton Pilgrim and Eunice Young Pilgrim and loving husband to Betty Wood Pilgrim.
In addition to his wife of 48 years, he is survived by a daughter Trisha Pilgrim Ingle (Keith) from Easley, South Carolina and his precious and loving grandchildren Matthew and Emma Kate.
Mr. Pilgrim was predeceased by a brother Eddie Pilgrim.
Mr. Pilgrim last attended Golden Creek Baptist Church and was of the Baptist faith. He loved his grandchildren and showered them with love and gifts. He was liked by everyone that met him and he was known for telling a good clean joke. He was a very intelligent man and was very knowledgeable of the Bible. He had a strong love of talk radio.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel 2402 Gentry Memorial Hwy Pickens, South Carolina 29671 with a visitation that same day starting at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens, South Carolina. Family will be officiating.
