Mrs. Owens was born in Greenville County on August 29,1956 to the late William Lake and Lula Mae Gibson Chapman. She never met a stranger, and was best known for her generous spirit. Any time there was a need, she was the first to arrive with food and essential supplies. She made it her mission to share the love of Jesus by caring for those who were unable to care for themselves. Mrs. Owens loved gardening, crafting, her flowers, bargain shopping, and was proud to be called the best Nana by her family. She retired from Head Start, and was a member of Jones Hill Church of God.
In addition to her loving husband of 41 years, Ike, Mrs. Owens is survived by her two sons: Titus Owens (Meagan) and Isaac Owens (Carter-Ann); her three grandsons: Lambert, Nash, and John-Isaac Owens; and a sister: Gloria Littleton (James). She was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, and many good friends which also survive her.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Landmark Baptist Church in Easley with interment to follow at West View Cemetery in Easley.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM on Wednesday, prior to the service, at Landmark Baptist Church.
Flowers are accepted, or the family requests that memorial donations be made to either Jones HIll Church of God Children's Program: 1014 Dalton Rd, Marietta, SC 29661; or to Landmark Baptist Church Children's Program: 116 Landmark Ct, Easley, SC 29640.
