Victoria Rae Dey Armstrong, born June 6th, 1947, in Wichita, KS, one of two children of Paul Eugene and Imogene (Beath) Dey. Victoria was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Lee Armstrong They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary before his death in 2018 and both of her parents and her grandson Elijah. Victoria is survived by their 7 children, 29 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Victoria graduated from Beauty School in 1965 and proceeded to own two salons in Phoenix, AZ and make a living doing hair and nails for the remainder of her working life. In 1989 Victoria and Dennis moved to Indiana where she continued to do hair and nails, and also became foster parents for 18 years. Victoria was diagnosed with ALS in January of 2006, she was a fighter, supporter and inspiration to so many over her long life with ALS. In 2009 Victoria and Dennis returned to the Phoenix AZ area to be close to her parents, sister and family. This proved to be a longer stay than they expected, and Victoria lived her final years without Dennis but was still loving and encouraging others until the moment she passed away on Jan 11th 2021, 15 years to the month of her original diagnosis with ALS. Victoria was a Christian and Loved Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Services will be held at Appollo Baptist Church 11611 N. 51st Avenue, Glendale Arizona 85304. On April 19th at 11am.
