Thomas B Hughes

Thomas Barry Hughes, age 48, of Glendale, Arizona, went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2014. Tom was born on December 13, 1965 in Trenton, NJ to Chester W. Hughes, Sr. and Carrie Zane Mason Hughes.

After Tom’s junior year at Steinert High School in Hamilton, NJ, Tom moved with his family to Phoenix, AZ. He then graduated from Paradise Valley High School in 1984. Tom was a hard worker and was a Regional Director for a well-known restaurant chain. He was a member of the West Phoenix Baptist Church. Tom is preceded in death by his brother, Matthew John Hughes and Grandparents, Carrie Zane Mason, William Past Mason, Jr., Hannah Hughes and Chester A. Hughes. Survivors include his Beloved Parents, Carrie Zane Mason Hughes and Chester William Hughes, Sr., of Glendale, AZ; Sister, Gail Hughes White (Carey); Brother, Chester William Hughes, Jr.; Brother, William Mason Hughes (Kelli); Brother, Mark David Hughes (Beth); Sister, Jill Justine Hughes; all of Glendale, AZ and Brother, James Lincoln Hughes (Jennifer) of Phoenix, AZ; Nieces and Nephews, Kellie McGarry (Charles), Matthew White, Matthew Hughes, Lindsay LaPre (Steven), Chester W. Hughes III, Timothy White, Mark Hughes, Jonathan Mason Hughes, Justin Hughes, Carrie Hughes, Heather Hughes; Great Nieces and Nephews, Matthew Carter, John McGarry, Briana McGarry, Brylee LaPre and Harmony Hughes.

Tom will be remembered for his overwhelming love for his family and a sense of humor that made everyone laugh and smile just being with him. He will forever be in our hearts and is loved very much! Tom will be greatly missed but we are comforted in knowing we will someday be united with him in Heaven.

The Funeral will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027. The Viewing will be at 1pm; Service at 2pm and the Graveside at 3pm. Tom’s brother, Rev. W. Mason Hughes will officiate.
