Rosalinda “Linda” Cons Jimenez, a woman of wisdom and tranquil spirit, peacefully journeyed on to Paradise on November 30, 2023. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, generosity, wittiness, delicious recipes, and an appreciation for the simplicity of life!
Born into a world that needed her serenity and empathy, Linda was someone who always gave the best advice, was easy to talk to and never judged anyone or any situation. Many looked forward to birthday and different occasion cards from her cause she would write the most philosophical advice. She was funny without trying, and unaware of her own humble wit and wisdom.
Linda’s journey in life began in her beloved town of Guadalupe where she enjoyed lots of pastimes like swimming in the canal with her sisters and many cousins, picking fruit in the fields surrounding the valley, dancing at the Calderon and Riverside with her true childhood sweetheart, Andy Jimenez. She ran a successful restaurant with her father Filito, for 31 years as well as several gas and service stations in Phoenix with her hubby. Although she was busy with their businesses, she still managed to provide her children with the best childhood a mother can give. Her number one priority was always being “Mom” and later “Nana”. Her grandkids always looked up to her for guidance and her delicious baking and cooking. They always knew Nana had good food on her stovetop.
As we bid farewell to Linda, let us remember the lessons she expressed — the importance of love and empathy, the beauty of a simple, peaceful life, and the value of being humble and generous. Though she may no longer be with us in the physical sense, her spirit lives on in the hearts and memories of those who were touched by her grace and tenderness.
Linda is survived by her husband of 56 years, Andy Jimenez, daughters, Bernadette “Bernie” (Pedro Pablo) Paulino, Andrea “Motzi” (Benjamin) Romo, Angelica Jimenez, and son Santiago “Chuey” (Jolene) Jimenez; 6 grandchildren, Anthony, Mikaela, Gael, Justin, Jesse, and Jocelyn; and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her mom, Armida Herrera Cons, sisters, Fidelia “Wila” Navarro, and Yolanda “Landie” Reyes, countless nieces and nephews, extended family, and numerous friends.
