95, died March 14, 2016. Bob was born in Memphis, TN and graduated High School in Rockford, IL. He was working as a grocery store manager when he was drafted into the U.S. Army October 24, 1942 as a Radio Operator stationed in the Hawaiian Islands. Bob married his wife of almost 60 years, Harriette, in December, 1946 and settled down in Phoenix to start a family. He started his own company, working as a plumbing contractor, retiring after 30 years. In his retirement Bob enjoyed working on his cabin in northern Arizona, boating in the Arizona lakes and in the ocean out of San Diego, and volunteered in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary as a Flotilla Commander. In his later years he found a hidden talent in drawing and water color. Bob is survived by his three children; Diane, Bob, and Chris; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 17, 11:00am at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren St., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Hospice care.
