Robert Paul Jonas, 88, of Phoenix, AZ passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Bob was born on April 17, 1924 in Omaha, NE, served in the Army during WWII, and excelled as an engineer at Garrett AiResearch for 39 years, garnering multiple awards & patents and inventing the "Jonas Circuit". Bob is survived by his wife Marjorie, his brother Ray, his 5 children, Janet, Glenn, Jill, Vicki, and Nancy, step-daughters Susie, Becky, and Myrna, 22 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jo, his brother Dale, step-daughter Debbie, and great-granddaughter Reese. Services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. in Phoenix, on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10:30 AM. A memorial gathering will immediately follow at The Lakes of Tempe, 5501 S. Lake Shore Dr. in Tempe.
