Rita Beatrice Smith

Rita Beatrice (Cadotte), age 98, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on January 27, 2022. She was a beloved wife to William (Bill) R. Smith, loving mother to three sons, Ronald (Cindy) Smith, Wayne (Kym) Smith, Thomas Smith, and three daughters, Linda (Les) Wade, Brenda (Gene) McCubbin, and Janet (Ken) Money. She was a grandmother to ten children, a great-grandmother to twelve children, and a great-great-grandmother to one. She was also an aunt to many nieces and nephews. Rita is preceded in death by her three brothers, Hector (Laura), Wilfred (Catherine), and Raymond (Alba), as well as her sisters, Marie (Harvey) Myers, Cecilia (Mac) Dawson, Marion (Fred) Morrison, Emily (Tom) Moore, and Francelline (Clarence) Wellwood. She is also preceded in death by her grandson, J. Douglas Brown. Rita was a member of Our Lady of the Wayside Sodality for over fifty years. She was also a member of The Radio Family Rosary, C.U.F., and The Legion of Mary Auxiliary. Rita visited numerous Shut-Ins in her lifetime and greatly enjoyed doing for others. A visitation for Rita will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Paul Roman Catholic Parish, 330 W Coral Gables Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85023. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 330 W Coral Gables Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85023. A committal service will occur Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008.
