Richard Ronald Navarro Jr., (known to all as “Buga”) of Phoenix, AZ passed away at the age of 56 in the early morning of February 23rd, 2023, after a valiant battle with cirrhosis of the liver and liver cancer. To cherish his memory Buga leaves his wife of 35 years, Tiffany Navarro and 4 children. He raised Latoyia and Elias since they were toddlers and later welcomed Richard (Hubby) and his baby girl Aliyah into the world. His children gave him 9 grandchildren whom he loved. Buga is also survived by his mother, Sylvia; brother Andrew “Bear”, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and childhood friends. He loved all his kids, his grandkids, and his family both immediate and extended.
Richard was born on June 15th, 1966, in Phoenix, AZ to Richard R. Navarro Sr. (who preceded him in death in 2001) and Sylvia G. Madrid. Buga attended elementary schools Monroe, Grant and Aline; Herrera junior high school and graduated from Central High school. He played in the neighborhood baseball team for his father for many years. For most of his life, Buga worked as a welder in the fencing industry. He worked for Gomez Fence, American Fence, and later Erector Associated Fence. He was known as the neighborhood and family mechanic. He was always willing to work on cars and fix someone’s brakes. Buga loved a cold Budweiser and having a good time with family and friends. He was a member of the D-Dawgz neighborhood baseball team. Let us not forget he taught almost every kid in the neighborhood to ride a bike and tie their shoes. He was a son, a brother, a father, a husband, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin, and a good friend.
