Renate Ahrens, age 88, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025. Renate was born in Germany. She met her future husband, Frederick Ahrens, while he was serving overseas in the US Military and she immigrated to the US to marry the love of her life. She inspired many children during her career as an elementary school teacher. Renate enjoyed phone calls, gathering with family and friends, gardening, sewing, reading, cooking, and Canasta. She loved the Lord, was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed by her 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 surviving siblings, extended family, and beloved friends. A service will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025, 1:30 pm at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E Greenway Rd, Phoenix, Arizona 85022.
