July 26th, 2020. Regina was born on November 26th, 1929 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Joseph and Grace (Besasie) Castagna. On July 2nd, 1949 Regina married the love of her life, Edward Miller. The two were fortunate to enjoy a long and happy marriage. Edward preceded her in death on November 6th, 2004. Regina and Edward were blessed with 7 children. Regina was a devoted wife and her greatest joy in life was being a mother. For 60 years, Regina lived in the Milwaukee area, in the house Edward built for them. It was said, “Dad built the house and Mom made it a home.” Regina was a talented homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and gardening flowers. She enjoyed the holidays, family gatherings and the special Italian traditions she carried out and passed down to her children and grandchildren. Regina loved music and could often be heard listening to Frank Sinatra and her favorite song “My Way.” Regina had an influence on many lives and will always be remembered for her gentle, nurturing spirit, willingness to listen, words of wisdom and unconditional love. In 2017, Regina moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she continued to have a positive impact on the lives of those around her. She will be remembered for her kindness and beautiful smile at the assisted living home where she lived for the last 16 months. She would cheerfully greet visitors and was compassionate to those around her, especially when she saw someone who needed a hug. Regina always expressed gratitude for the wonderful life she lived and in reflection on her own life experience, she would often say, “I lived a great life!”
