Patricia Louise (Pattie) Hyland, 65, of Phoenix, Arizona passed peacefully into the loving arms of God on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Born August 17, 1953 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William R., Sr. and Anne M. (Goglia) Hyland.
Pattie graduated from Archbishop Carroll High School for Girls in 1971. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from East Stroudsburg State College in 1975 and continued her graduate studies at West Chester State College.
Pattie began her career as a teacher and coach at Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania and later at Texas City High School in Texas City, Texas. After eight years as an educator, she accepted a position as a sales representative in the marketing of medical devices. In 1996, Pattie relocated to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area to seek employment in the senior living industry as a marketing and sales counselor. She retired from The Terraces of Phoenix in April, 2019.
Pattie was an exemplary professional, loved and respected by colleagues, clients, and the families she served. A beautiful soul, she maintained a positive attitude and loving spirit, always treating others with kindness and genuine care. Pattie was a thoughtful, giving person and, in passing from this life, she continued her generosity through organ and tissue donation.
Pattie is survived by her dearest friend and partner, Diane M. Stahl; two sisters, Dorothy A. Morgan and Kathryn H. Durant and her husband, Robert; three brothers, William R. Hyland, Jr., Richard J. Hyland and his wife, Jeri, and Paul F. Hyland and his wife, Louise; six nieces, Julie P. Schrope (goddaughter) and her husband, Charlie, Kim Raymond and her husband, Ben, Kaycie Ressa and her husband, Ryan, Courteney Fox, Kelley Fox, and Rachel Hyland; five nephews, Tim Morgan and his wife, Kristi, Liam Hyland and his wife, Abril, Ryan Hyland (godson), Bradley Fox and his wife, Erika, and Andrew Hyland and his wife, Brooke; eight great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. She is also survived by a beloved sister-in-law, Kris Hyland, a special cousin, Diane Kirman Raffill and her husband, Stewart, and many cherished friends throughout the country.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the outstanding clinical staff of the intensive care unit at HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center and the Donor Network of Arizona for their compassionate care.
A private celebration of life was held in Pattie's honor on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Shadow Mountain Mortuary.
