Omar Akii Schneier Davis

Having been his mother's greatest accomplishment, Omar Akii Schneier Davis, loving, caring, beautiful son, brother, nephew, grandson and friend, died tragically on May 9, 2019. Born on March 29, 1999 in York, Pennsylvania, he is survived by his mother Betsey Davis of Boulder CO, his father Rasheed Edwards of Atlanta, stepfather Errol Davis of Brooklyn, NY, stepmother Patty White of Atlanta, stepfather Theo Robinson of Albuquerque, brothers Myles Davis of Boulder, Winston Davis of Wurzburg, Germany, Naeem Edwards, NaDre Edwards, NaShi Edwards, and his sister NaDiyah Edwards all of Atlanta, Julius, Xeryia and Demetrius Robinson of Albuquerque. Omar is also survived by his grandparents "Grannie and Bubba" Amy and Larry CdeBaca of Albuquerque, NM, His Aunt "Nay Nay" Kate Schneier and her spouse Cedar Smith of Seattle, his Uncle Nick Schneier and wife Amy of York, PA. He is also survived by cousins, aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, second and third cousins and many friends too numerous to mention, but whose lives he touched daily with his beautiful smile, positive outlook on life, and a love so great that it will never be forgotten by anyone who had the honor of being a part of his life.

A memorial celebration of Omar's life is being held in Phoenix on Monday May 13, 2019, followed by a memorials in Albuquerque, Seattle and New York City at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for Omar's youngest brother Myles, who was one of the centers of Omar's life. Omar always wanted the best for his brother and would have wanted to make sure he was well taken care of and set up for a bright future. Omar's mother Betsey worked hard getting herself through college and has continued to work incredibly hard to create a life of opportunity for her children. Omar was known by all who knew him to accept everyone for who they were and to have unwavering kindness for all. If you want to honor Omar, practice these daily because that is what Omar would want.
