Marie “Sistah” Meyer passed away peacefully in Phoenix, AZ on April 20, 2012. Marie was born in New York, New York on July 20, 1930 and had made her home in the Valley of the Sun for the last 45 years making her residence in Cave Creek. She had been in administration for Qwest for 21 years prior to her retirement. She loved to crochet, knit, do crossword, cook and travel. Marie is survived by her devoted son John and adopted son Mark; sister Josephine; nieces Rachel, Micki, Jeanette, Mary Ann, Charlotte, Jeane, Lisa, Joey, Andrea, Alex and Ruby; nephews Pat, Vincent, Vincent, Joseph, Anthony, Anthony and Nicholas. She predeceased by her husband Ralph and daughter Margaret. Visitation will be Thursday, April 26, 2012 beginning at 1:00pm at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ with a funeral service beginning at 2:00pm.
