A 37-year resident of the state of Arizona, she devoted her life to raising her children, sacrificing to ensure they would have a life filled with opportunity. Marcia was a kind, loving individual who selflessly opened her heart and home to friends and family. She was born on June 14, 1933, in El Negrito, Yoro, Honduras, to parents Maria O'campo and Angel Banegas. In 1967, she came to the United States, where she met and married her husband of 54 years, Norberto Rodriguez, in New York City. Together, they would go on to raise 9 children. She had a zest for life-enjoying music, dancing, and spending time with friends. A true animal lover, Marcia always had a loyal companion by her side even up until the time of her passing.
Marcia is survived by her husband Norberto, their six sons, Rene Monroy, Oscar Monroy, Hector Monroy, Amilcar Monroy (Margarita), Marvin Monroy, Norbert Jr. (Perla) and three daughters, Marly (Jeffrey), Ruby (James) and Susy (Johnny Jr.) as well as 11 grandchildren, (Sasha, Tobias, Samantha, Natalie, Brianna, Nicklas, Johnny III, Zane, Elise, Evan, and Giuliuana) and 8 great grandchildren. She had a special relationship with her niece, Iris Pineda. All of whom she loved and touched deeply. She will remain forever in our hearts.
