Died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the age of 78 years young.
She lived in Maricopa, AZ with her children on a small ranch where she enjoyed her chickens and horses.
Madge was born on March 9, 1934 in Duck Town, Tennessee to Clarence and Ruth May Clark
Madge grew up in the beautiful green hills of Greeneville, Tennessee. She spent many a hour running through the fields and forest. Madge loved nature and animals and spent a lot of time enjoying
both. Later in life she and her daughter ran a horse rescue.
Even though Madge was pulled out of school to help raise her siblings, she was often confused for a college graduate, because she was self-taught on many different subjects.
Madge went to Michigan in 1955 to look for work. What she found was the love of
her life, Clyde Albert Clifford, and they were married in 1960 after a whirlwind courtship.
In 1961 Madge gave birth to her first child, Mark Alan Clifford. Her daughter, Belinda Louise Clifford was born 22 months later. She loved both her children more than life itself.
During her life she enjoyed sewing, traveling and was a great cook.
Madge is survived by her children Mark and Belinda Clifford of Maricopa, AZ, A sister, Alice Justis, of Greeneville, TN,
and her brother and sister-in-law Haskell Duwayne and Delores Clark of Greeneville, TN.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Clyde Albert Clifford, her parents Clarence and Ruth Clark,
and three brothers Lee, Clifford, and Eugene Clark, as well as two sisters, Helen Carter and Norma Jean Foshie.
There will be a rememberance gathering at the Great Wall Resturant in Maricopa on Friday, January 25st at 7pm. Come prepared to laugh and have a good time.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to an animal rescue of your choice.
