On May 30, Louie underwent multiple emergency surgeries. After 3 months of fighting hard to get better, he peacefully passed away from complications from those surgeries. He leaves behind his sister Alicia Aguilar, two daughters Andrea Gonzales, Rachel Aguilar, son-in-laws Antonio, Felipe, five grandchildren Jacelyn, Michaela, Ernie, Zac, Maximus, and nephews David, Angel and Jacob. Louie was from Yuma, Arizona where he was known for swimming and diving. He attended Arizona State University where he was a collegiate diver. Louie would go on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix in 2011. Louie dedicated 26 years to Southwest Airlines as a flight attendant and over 30 years to the airline industry. Louie had a passion for music and dancing and it was normal to see him behind the turntables as “LA DJ”. Louie was a skilled fisherman and his last time out was in the beautiful outdoors of Greer, Arizona where he loved to fish. Louie’s legacy of compassion, generosity and kindness lives on through his family and friends.
