Lloyd (Okie) Burris of Mesa, AZ passed peacefully in his sleep on July 25, 2012. He was born June 10, 1919 in Blanchard, Ok to Samuel Sidney & Florence Burris. Okie moved to Phoenix in 1939 and worked at Holsum Bakery 45 years until retiring in 1985. He was married to his wife, Gertie, for 59 years. Gertie preceded him in death Sept. 2000. He is survivrd by sister Polly Burris Rivera, step-daughter Wanda Knisley, and numerous grand, great & great-great grandchildren. Graveside service to be held on Tuesday, August 21st, 2:00 PM at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, AZ.
