Kelli Hughes was the best music teacher I had sad to see this😞

Kelli was a flower girl for her cousin's wedding at the age of 2 years and 8 months old. The  wedding was in Texas on October 11, 1963!

I remember her patience with my daughter Saravana Peterson only 4years old singing with the kids .Saravana needed alot of correction and direction and she did that so kindly .Saravana loves music so much due to the dedication  Kelly put  into  the children and her passion  for serving the Lord and music.Im sure she is playing sweet music for our Father now .

So sorry to hear of Kelli's passing. She was such a special person. I so enjoyed working with her at Palm Lane. She was such a dedicated music teacher loved by her students. My prayers are with your family.

I thank God for blessing me with my sister-in-law , Kelli!  She was a wonderful part of our extended family and was always there to help a family member in need.  Kelli was a good sport  participating in our family Christmas and birthday skits;  created several birthday videos; a gifted pianist; sincere; incredibly talented;  thoughtful and a strong inner strength from the Lord.  I appreciated how kind she was to my late husband, Carey and he loved her as our sister-in-law, too.  I'll miss my long phone calls with her, even not long ago when she was not feeling well.  She wanted to keep talking and I cherished every minute.  I will always remember seeing her the day before the morning she passed.  I held her hand and told her I loved her.  She then replied with every ounce of strength she had.  I love you, sweet Kelli and you will always be in my heart.  Thank you for being a great sister, friend, aunt to my children and  the best wife ever for Mason.  I will miss you!  Love and prayers to Mason, sons Mason & Kelsey; Justin & Amber and their children.     xo 

I’ll never forget my music teacher from third grade. It was an honor having her and meeting her. She was indeed a beautiful soul. Mrs hughes thank you, for teaching me music class and thank you for being you. You’ll be missed, forever in our hearts ♥️

The news of Kellie's passing was very sad and shocking.  We worked together at Palm Lane before she moved to Tarver at it's opening.  Kelli was,always a creative teacher.  Her love for the Lord shown through her as a light. Go to prepare places for the rest of us left behind.  

My mom prayed for the perfect wife for my brother, Mason and the next day, God answered her prayer when Kelli appeared at West Phoenix Baptist Church. 
God had handpicked an incredibly Godly, musical, intelligent, beautiful inside and out woman, whom I believe He created for this very purpose!
When Kelli joined our family, we were the ones who were blessed, not just Mason, their sons and our church. 
God used Kelli in so many incredible ways, too many to list and I feel so privileged to have had her in my life! 
I don't know or understand why our Lord would allow our sweet Kelli to go through so many health issues, but someday we will all understand. What, I do know is that no matter what Kelli was dealing with, she would never complain and she would give it to God and trust Him with whatever His will was for her life! She was a brave Warrior, fighting battles left and right; but God must had said "well done my faithful warrior, it's time to put down your sword and rest!" 
I miss and love you Kelli, but you will live on in my heart forever and I take comfort that you are no longer in pain and that I will see you again someday in our Heavenly home. 

My heart aches for you, my brother, W. Mason, his son, J.Mason and his family, his son Justin and his family as well as all the rest of Kelli's nieces, nephews and cousins! OXOXOX 

“Miss Kellie” is how I always fondly think of her…the warm friendly, always smiling beautiful youth counselor who poured into my life. WPBC youth camp in the 80s. I remember Kellie leading our girls devotion- reading the book, “The Giving Tree” to illustrate the sacrificial love of God. Kellie was such an amazing teacher and she loved us with an unconditional love. 
My heart is heavy for Mason and all those who love her.  Drawing on the comfort in knowing that she is definitely alive, restored and vibrant, dancing among the angels right now.

Saddened by Kelli’s passing.  I have many fond memories of Kelli from high school.  Always smiling and happy.   God bless her family during this sad time.

Kelli was my childhood friend in Willcox.  She was a wonderful person and will be missed.  Deepest symphathy.

With the Lord’s guidance, you will move forward each painful moment, hour, day, week, month and yes, possibly years however, The Lord gives us the gift of free will and doesn’t expect you to ‘move on’ only to ‘move forward’ because like you, we adored and will never forget your beautiful wife.  Mason, be patient with yourself and tolerate the sadness. The healing process doesn’t end so welcome each and every grieving stage. The Lord will bless and comfort you and your family with every step you take, especially when you feel your deepest sadness. Matthew 5:4

Mason, as many people around you, I see you as someone with great deference, not only as a pastor but as a man and a friend. Sadly, I have empathy for your loss, for the Lord took to heaven, my life long spouse 3 years ago, also after fighting heroically the detrimental disease that consumes the fragile human body. Psalm 73:26. ‘My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.’     Presently, all our words of solace will appear dismal however, in the future when your mind is healing and the barriers that built around your grieving heart, slowly fade, read or reread the words of compassion we all had for Kelli.

Wishing Kelli’s entire family peace and comfort. You have my sincere condolences. Your loving wife, mother, mother in law and grandma was a wonderful, gracious, humble woman, who permeated reverence for the Lord and will be greatly missed.

So sorry for your loss. Kelli was a very special person.  Keep your memories close to your heart.

KELLI was a great friend I got to know in our church youth group and high school when our family moved to Willcox my high school years. She had a can do  Spirit and her love for the Lord was contagious. God keep the family strong in His loving care. She is home with the Lord now.

Kelli will remain in my heart and mind as a quiet superstar. She was very comfortable not being in the spotlight; she mastered flying under the radar, by making her loved ones shine. Kelli was multi-talented as she played the piano beautifully, sang like an angel, made the coolest snack treats, had an entire craft room, was magical with technology, and was the best event planner! She was quiet and smart with a kind, kind heart, and she shared her love with everyone, in all that she did, but we really learned the depth and strength of her love for her family and all of life through the fight she put up, until God took her home to keep her well for all of eternity. Kelli lived her life so close to God, here on earth, that I imagine moving to heaven was much like moving next door for her! I am truly blessed to have know Kelli and to serve a God that always heals.

I first met Kelli online and told her l would pray for her. Then this past year l went to Az and got to meet her in person.
The one thing that impressed me most was that with all she was going through, she never complained. 
She was truly a Very Godly woman.
She will be missed by anyone who ever knew her.

I was privileged to have Kelli as my Aunt ( I also love her name lol) . She was always so strong, kind and loving. She was a fighter to the very end. She will be missed. ❤️

Kelli we will miss your sweet smile and giant heart! So privileged to have had you take Issaac under your wing @ Bret R Tarver! He enjoyed seeing you at school and church! Sending prayers of God’s loving peace and comfort to the Hughes family and all who knew 
and loved Kelli. ..And to Mason who was such a huge support to me and my family when we lost my dad. Thank you I can only imagine how blessed Kelli was to have you love, care, and advocate for her! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Kelli was an amazing person and forever a follower of Jesus Christ. Kelli and Pastor Mason made me feel welcome at the church and I am blessed to know them and their great family. I pray for the Hughes family for their terrible loss and Jesus is taking great care of Kelli.


Kelli,  Taj and I will miss you greatly.  You had such an impact on our grandson Kawhi.  Every Sunday he would always ask me where the lady that plays the piano is. I will miss our women's retreat where you taught me so much. We love you and will miss you so much.


The memory that stands out to me was my first year at camp I was one of the newbies of course we didn't know there was no such thing as snipe hunting we went to go up in the woods of course my buddy was Kelly that night we were up there hiding and a skunk came along and decided to curl up against Kellys back we were afraid to move cuz we didn't want to get sprayed by the skunk we were stuck up there for probably about an hour before we came wandering back to camp I remember Kelly being irritated cuz nobody came to look for us LOL she's like what the heck I don't know that was a long time ago I was about 12 35 years to be exact but she made such an impression only that night that I named my daughter after her she was a special woman. 

My condolences toe the Mason family. May God bring your family peace and love during this time.
