Karen Sue McGinty

Born in Ray, Arizona May 20, 1944; she was the daughter of the late Norman and Dona Pierson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Janice Trotter.

She is survived by her children; Michael McGinty (Judy), Seana Denman and Erin McGinty; brother George Pierson (Sharon) and her childrens’ father Michael McGinty Sr.

Karen was a beloved “Mimi” and is survived by her eight grandchildren; Jennifer Iles, Thomas Sheals, Sean Maynard, Kayla Austin (Zach), Katie McGinty, James Sheals, Ariana McGinty-Limmeroth (Kody), Miguel McGinty and also her 6 great grandchildren; Taylor Iles, Brody Maynard, Penelope Maynard, Stella Austin, Faith Sheals and Cody Sheals.

Karen is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Tracie, Bo, Bret, Tim, Andy, Sarah, Sean, Lance, Summer, Gabriel and Cherish as well as great nieces, great nephews and many cousins.

In her professional career, Karen was most proud of her decades working for Double AA Builders, Ltd. and CDS-Costco. Karen loved to laugh and could see the humor in almost any situation. Her uplifting spirit encouraged so many.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, faithful friend and tireless coworker; fond memories of Karen will be carried by all those that loved her.

The family has entrusted the care of Dignity Memorial with the funeral arrangements and services will be held at Shadow Mountain Mortuary on Thursday March 2, 2023 at 3:00pm.
