“Our dad will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His family was his pride and joy, and he showed unconditional love to his family and was always a person you could count on and didn't hesitate to help anyone in need”.
Jose was born January 26, 1945, in Sonora, Mexico to Luis and Concepcion Valenzuela. After immigrating to the United States 1966, Jose opened his own upholstery business in Mesa, Arizona. He married his sweetheart Maria Jesus Valenzuela and settled in Phoenix, Arizona where they raised three sons (Alejandro, Alfredo, Rene) and a daughter (Luz). As a man of many talents, his philosophy was, “I can always try to fix everything on my own, before calling someone else to fix it”.
His hobbies included watching wildlife and nature documentaries, and old time Clint Eastwood westerns. One of his favorite movies was “Used Cars”.
He is survived by his children, Alejandro, Alfredo, Rene, and Luz, his many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, his brothers Ricardo and Manuel Valenzuela, and his sister Lorena (Delia) German.
The memorial service will be held on December 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Greenwood Memorial Lawn & Cemetery, Serenity Chapel.
