John "Kevin" Porter

John Kevin Porter passed away in Glendale, Arizona on Tuesday March 15, 2022. He was born on November 17,1962, and was the 2nd child of Sharon Banks and Rudolph Banks in San Bernardino, California. His mother remarried and his stepfather Bill Porter raised him from an early age.

Kevin attended Burroughs High School in Ridgecrest, California. He married Carrie Christine Waltz on October 27, 1984. They resided in Los Angeles, California, where their first son Taylor was born on June 24 1986. In the fall of 1986 he moved to Hood, California to enjoy fishing and gardening. Kevin took a job as a baker and also as a book store clerk. On October 13, 1988 his 2nd son Lucas was born, and On June 17 1989 his 3rd son Alexander was born.

Kevin moved to Glendale, Arizona in 2006. He enjoyed his home where he devoted his time gardening, collecting antiques, and attending to his pet poodles. Kevin was a very generous person who loved to spend time with his sons, friends and family.

Kevin leaves behind his mother Sharon White, sister Yvette Tibbs, brother Brian Porter. sons Taylor, Luke and Alex, and grandchildren Presley, Hudson and Johnny.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carrie Christine (Waltz) porter and father Rudolph Banks and brother Roland Banks-Porter.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 10:30 am at Rio Vista Community Park, 8866 W. Thunderbird Rd. Peoria, Arizona 8531. (North of Thunderbird Road and 1/4 mile West of the Loop 101 Agua Fria freeway)
