Jack Sang Lee passed away peacefully at his residence in Phoenix, AZ on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Jack emigrated from Canton, China to Phoenix, alone, when he was just 9 years old. Jack became a citizen of the United States and proudly served his adopted country in the US Army during WWII. He was the renowned owner/butcher of Blue Star Market, a neighborhood grocery store for 18 years. Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia; his devoted children Paula Fong, Paul Lee (Sylvia), Adam Lee (Diane), Eddie Lee (Lydia), and Eve Lee Collins (Frank); grandchildren Jennifer Lee Silver (Mark), Matthew Fong, II, Meredith Lee, Jonathon Lee, Jade Fong, Adam Lee, Jeffrey Lee and Nicholas Lee; great granddaughters Ava Silver and Mia Silver, nephew Yau Nang Kwan and Godson, Paul Dong, Jr. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Matt Fong. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ. A funeral service will begin at 11:00am at Phoenix Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 26, 2012. Burial will follow at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary.
