Irene (Baby) Blanco Sanchez, born February 3,1944, a retired administrative assistant from the AZ State Senate, passed away on May 16, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ. A native of Phoenix, Irene attended Roosevelt Elementary School, South Mountain High School and Phoenix College. She spent many years working for Valley National Bank and various other positions in Phoenix, but was most proud of her accomplishments working at the State Senate where she served with several senators. Irene has a large extended family and many friends, of whom she was very encouraging and proud, always trying to help others reach their true potential. She had a zest for life and was always up for new experiences, vacations, cruises, parties and most of all, the casino! Mrs. Sanchez was preceded in death by her husband Jesse, parents Chris and Irene Blanco and brothers Joseph, Eddy, Raymond and Frank Blanco. She is survived by 5 brothers, Chris, Ruben, Oscar, Isaac, and Paul, daughters Sonya Ollarsaba (Ernesto), Priscilla Annette Campbell (Charles), and Bianca Apodaca (Joe), grand-daughters Kymberly, Celeste, Isabella, Victoria and Malia, and grandsons Alex, Joseph and Christopher as well as 3 great grandchildren, Damien, Aria, and Aiden all of whom she loved and who loved her back. Irene will be greatly missed by all of us who knew and loved her, a void is felt with her passing but our hearts will never forget her. Services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10:00am at Advantage Maryvale Funeral Home 6901 W Indian School Rd, with a procession afterward where she will be laid to rest at St. Frances Cemetery 2033 N 48th St., Phoenix.
