It is with great sadness that the family of Herminia Pelayo Reyes announces her passing on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at the age of 87 years.
The final highlight of Herminia’s life was returning to the Philippines in December 2014 to be with all her children, and to rekindle relationships with relatives and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Teresita, Maria Rosa, Eugenia, Victor, Marlon and Maria Lourdes. She will also be fondly remembered by her 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, by her sister, Dr. Adoracion Dela Cerna and by her brother, Jess Pelayo.Herminia is preceded in death by her husband Isidro Maniego Reyes, parents Guido Pelayo and Clara Miguel, and siblings Eufrocina Tapay, Bishop Severino Pelayo, and Nelia Arias. A private funeral service in memory of Herminia will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park Chapel, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027. Herminia will be laid to rest following Catholic funeral rites in San Miguel, Bulacan, Philippines.
