While many wonderful things can be said about Herbert Wayne Kronz, the following are real and true:
Wayne always said he was “just plain Wayne”, but he was anything but plain. Wayne had the best work ethic of anyone around, only to be rivaled by his mother Letty B. and father Henry Kronz. Wayne didn’t miss one day of work in 27 years and very few to follow. His morals and beliefs were paramount in his life, making him a steadfast rock for his immediate family. His love of God was the number one thing that never wavered and his belief in the Bible was what he lived by. Wayne was a beautiful example of Christ, often sharing his love for Jesus with others.
He taught Sunday school for 55 years and put a lot of time into being an integral part of the Church. He built dozens of stage sets for church musicals and plays at Orangewood Nazarene. He took immense pride in his craftsmanship, home building and creative ideas for designing homes. He was a construction worker for 55+ years, taught by his German father. He was drafted to the Army twice in which he spent 3 and a half years in Germany and 1 year in Georgia. He loved his wife and kids immensely. He met his wife, Weslie Diane Craw, when he was 18 years old and 8 years. Later they married in 1961 when he was 26 and Diane was 18.
Above all, he was a wonderful grandpa to eight grandchildren. He was always happy to run around, play games, and keep the kids entertained. He is survived by his wife, Diane Kronz, and two of their three children. Angel with two living children, Camden and Avery. Daniel with wife Deborah and three children Amber, Tyler and Chloe. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Ashley and Jonathan, and four great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Ronan, Cole, and Samantha. Lastly he is survived by two of his four brothers, Mugs and Ron. Additionally, there is an abundant number of distant family members that he loved dearly. He is met in heaven by his parents Letty and Henry, his son Kevin, his grandson Ethan, and two brothers Kerry and Orville.
Wayne was always happy and friendly with a positive outlook on life, always looking at the glass as half full. He would go with the flow and never was picky with how things should or shouldn’t be. He accepted every situation for what it was and generally didn’t make a fuss about getting his way. His favorite mottos were “K.I.S.S.: Keep It Simple Stupid”, “Always say thank you to everyone you encounter and spread Gratitude everywhere you go” and “Never miss an opportunity to just say “Hi” to a stranger.” The stellar reputation of Wayne Kronz is not one that will soon be forgotten. He has made his mark on this world in countless ways and will surely be missed by many friends far and wide.
Finally, and most importantly, he loved, adored and cherished his beautiful wife Diane, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage on October 6th, 2024. Until Wayne’s final breath, he was mindful of Diane and wanted to take care of her and make sure she would be ok when he was gone, repeatedly asking that his children take care of their mom. Wayne passed October 10th, 2024 after 88 beautiful years of life. He experienced so much and accomplished everything he wanted to. He will be deeply missed by everyone he loved and cherished.
