Geraldine "Geri" Marie (Zbuska) Burke

Geraldine (Geri) Marie (Zbuska) Burke of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024. Geri was born December 17, 1936 in Torrington, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Thomas “The Torrington Tornado” Zbuska and Marion (Kissko) Zbuska. Geri had a successful career as a registered nurse having graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Hartford, Connecticut in 1957. Always loving, always caring, and always wanting the best for her family. Geri is survived by her sons Thomas, John, Kevin, and Darren. Geri has eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She is sorely missed. We take comfort in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior and in the company of those who went before her: her loving husband John and sisters Marlene, Delores, and Claudia. We also know that the grief of parting will be replaced, in time, by the joy of reunion.

A celebration of life for Geri will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd., Phoenix, Arizona 85022. Following the celebration of life will be a committal service at 1:00PM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85024.
