Elizabeth (Liz), of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on January 20, 1940, in Sedilia, Missouri. Elizabeth was the middle daughter of the late Woodrow A. Smith and Lois J. Smith (nee Moore).
After graduating from Phoenix Union High School, Liz dedicated her life to her family. She worked tirelessly beside Bill building the family business; loved family trips, especially to the LaJolla Beach and Tennis Club in LaJolla, California; and serving with the women of Faith Assembly of God. She took great pride in her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and never said “no” to an opportunity to spend time with them.
Liz’s roots were firmly planted in Phoenix. She and Bill lived on the same property since purchasing it in 1960. She will be remembered for her caring heart (many embraced her as a second mom) and her warm sense of humor. She had an adventurous spirit: hunting and fishing with her father and raising five children.
Liz was the heart of her family. She created a home filled with warmth and laughter. Her door was always open, her embrace always welcoming, and her loyalty to those she loved was steadfast and unwavering.
Liz is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bill; her children: Billy Joe Reagan, Jr (Marilyn), Karen Beth Wyatt, Thomas Clinton Reagan (Melissa), (Thomas Kastner); her seven grandchildren: Miles (Ashley), Britton (Janette), Kelsey (Josh), Adian (Laura), Addison, Ashton (MaKenna), and Acey; her eight great-grandchildren: Landon, Charlotte, Finn, Lincoln, Odin, Ollie, Benji, and Weston; her sister, Darlene Kaufman; and many more extended family members.
She was predeceased by her beloved children, Kenneth Woodrow Reagan and Christina Ann Kastner (Thomas); son-in-law Baron Wyatt (Karen); parents Woodrow Smith and Lois Smith; and her sister, Millie Deal.
Services will take place on Saturday, December 28 at 10 AM at City Church Phoenix, 1441 West Glendale Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85021. Interment at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona will take place in the new year.
