Edward F Tinney

Edward Francis Joseph Tinney Jr., born on January 11, 1928 found his peace on September 23, 2014. Edward was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a graduate of St. Joseph’s College, becoming a lifelong automotive executive across the country, eventually landing in Phoenix, Arizona in 1972. Predeceased by his wife Veronica of 27 years, Ed found happiness again with his wife Joan. They remained inseparable for 31 years of marriage. Ed, also affectionately called Frosty by his friends, was a lifelong, devout Roman Catholic and Eucharistic Minister, providing support and communion to those in need who could not attend Mass. Professionally, Ed was lauded for his unquestioned integrity and genuine concern for his clients’ business interests. Personally, Ed’s five adult children, four step-children, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren admired his example throughout their lives. Ed will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his generosity, and his devotion to his family and friends. A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM, Friday, September 26th st Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd. A funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 27th at St. joseph's Catholic Church, 11001 N. 40th St in Phoenix.
