Knew her for just a short time. Helped Carol with the house in Sun City West. She seemed to be a very sweet person.

Sister Mary Carla picked out Glenn Miller"s "IN THE MOOD" cd, It was played at the Mortuary and during the luncheon at Church. Can't you just see her toes tapping? 
Aunt D was a terrific person, and had a great sense of humor right up to the end.
I will miss her greatly.

Although I only knew Aunt D for a short time and didn't spend much time with her, she lives in my memory through the Flood family stories of her. My condolences to all.  And most of all, imagining her somewhere with Uncle Frank and all who have gone before!

Rest in peace Aunt D. So many fond memories of our times together, especially our Tuesdays when Uncle Dooley was off and you would come and spend the day with us. You always told me you knew me before I was born, and that I was at your wedding...due to the fact that my Mom was expecting me when she attended. :) We will all miss you, and think of you often....and smile!

Rest in peace Aunt D. So many fond memories of all the Tuesdays that you and Uncle Dooley came to our house and spent the day with us. My kids will always have these memories as well. I can still hear you telling me.."I knew you before you were born"....because my Mom was expecting me at your wedding. All the dinners and pot roasted meatballs we shared. Know that we speak of you often.....and smile.

Aunt D, I never met you in person, rather i got to know about you from Carl Flood in his weekly updates. It is a small world and you were part of my world becouse of todays technology, you will be missed. God bless all that remain behind and you have a beautiful journey,

Aunt D was such a kind, loving & caring person and I was lucky enough to have both Aunt D. & Uncle Frank in my life growing up. They were always there for holidays and every special occasion.  They always kept us laughing and smiling and I am so thankful for those fond memories I have of them.  You are always in our hearts, we miss and love you!

I lost a wonderful aunt this week.  She was kind, caring, generous, and had no idea how funny she was!  Even as a kid visiting her and Uncle Frank at their house in New York it was always a fun time.  You knew there would be card games, funny stories, a round of horse shoes in the backyard, watching a Jets game and some pro wrestling on the guest room TV with Uncle Frank, and all the 7up you could drink!  Having them so close they would come to every holiday, birthday and special occasion we had in Connecticut.  They not only made the event feel complete, but the duo provided laughs you wouldn't get anywhere else!  When Aunt D. would even make an attempt at being serious Uncle Frank would be anything but, which would just result in everyone laughing.  Their chemistry was a comedy act in itself.  They were Abbott & Costello meets Betty and Barney Rubble.  Even after moving to Arizona and despite her dislike of air travel and her inner ear issues, Aunt D. made a promise to fly back to CT for my high school graduation.  She of course delivered and I was so happy to have them there. As I said before it just wouldn't have seemed complete without Aunt D. and Uncle Frank there.  As much as I enjoyed visiting with them as a kid, as with many other relatives I wish I could have had at least as much time with them as an adult.  The time I was able to spend with them as an adult I was able to have an appreciation for their kindness, humor and stories on a whole other level, and was even able to add more to the conversations on my end!  My mom and her brothers always talked about what a great relationship they had with Aunt D. and Uncle Frank, and how they were such a big part of their lives as both kids and adults.  Not only am I glad that I was able to experience that relationship myself, but I'd like to think that it is a big part of the reason I am able to have such great relationship with my aunts and uncles.  While as a kid the connections were always great, but as an adult they are even better.  You were one of a kind Aunt D., and I will miss you.  Thanks for leaving behind so many great memories! Aunt D. was kind, generous, funny, quirky and always there. Most would be inclined to write Rest In Peace right about here but We'd rather say...We hope you "Dooley" "The Duke", Vi & Nick, Louise & Carl, Grandma & Pop, Doll& Ed and"Bessie" & Ned have a fabulous reunion!
