DIANE ELAINE SMITH, 63, DIED SUDDENLY ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23RD, 2020 AT HER HOME IN ANTHEM, ARIZONA. SHE WAS BORN ON NOVEMBER 11TH, 1957 IN AMARILLO, TEXAS, TO LOVERA (LUETKAHANS) AND JIMMY RICKMAN. SHE MARRIED CHARLES “FRANK” SMITH ON DECEMBER 5TH, 1981 AND HE SURVIVES.
ALSO SURVIVING ARE TWO DAUGHTERS: AMARIS ZABIEGALA OF TEXAS AND HER HUSBAND SCOTT AND THEIR THREE KIDS; JACE, KADYN AND LAINY; AND SHEENA SMITH OF TENNESSEE AND HER FOUR KIDS; TYLER, HOPE, ADDISON AND KAYSEN. ALSO HER SISTER, JANET RICKMAN OF TEXAS.
DIANE LOVED TO SPEND TIME WITH HER FAMILY AND CHERISHED HER CLOSE FRIENDSHIPS, AS WELL AS HER DOG, LEXI. SHE ENJOYED COLLECTING JEWELRY AND PURSES, STUDYING ALL FACETS OF HISTORY, WATCHING MOVIES, PLAYING GAMES WITH HER GRANDKIDS, AND GOLFING. ALL WHO KNEW HER WOULD SAY SHE WAS FULL OF LIFE AND EXTREMELY COMPASSIONATE. SHE LOVED GIVING HUGS, HAD A CONTAGIOUS SMILE AND TRANSPOSED HUMOR THAT WOULD BRING LAUGHTER FROM WITHIN.
SHE WAS A GOD-FEARING CHRISTIAN, LOVING WIFE, MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER AND WILL BE MISSED BY ALL WHO LOVED HER.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Diane at a later date.
