Derek G Zimmerman

As a child and teenager, Derek was in dirt bike competitions in Wyoming and was really good at it.

Derek received his Airline Mechanics degree right out of high school in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He then moved to Phoenix, AZ to work for U.S. Airways for many years until American Airlines bought out U.S. Airways. He has been employed by the airlines for the last 26 years.

Derek loved riding his quads and his Harley Davidson. He also loved playing poker with his buddies. He loved and cherished his friends.

Derek was very soft spoken. He loved his family, friends, and coworkers. Derek was a very hard worker and was very successful at anything he did.

Derek will always be remembered for always being there for anyone he loved. He would have done anything for anyone. He was the best son, brother, friend, stepfather, and grandfather. He did his best at taking on all these roles.

Derek went above and beyond for all he knew because of his love and generosity. Derek touched the lives of every person he ever met.

Derek will always be missed. His physical time on this planet will always be celebrated and remembered. The world has lost a beautiful soul. He was loved deeply and will be missed forever and always!
