Christine Squires, age 70, of Phoenix, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 21, 2018 after an extended battle with cancer. She was born on January 21, 1948 to the late Joseph and Theresa (De Summa) Chinnici in Philadelphia, PA. On November 10, 1996, she married Edwin L. Squires in Scottsdale. Christine was a Member and Officer in the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy. She enjoyed watching English murder mysteries, traveling, listening to the Beatles and Disco. Christine was an avid Harry Potter fan, which was highlighted by visiting Harry Potter World in Hollywood. She is survived by her loving spouse of 21 years, Ed; two children, Cathryn Porterfield and David Hovorak; three grandchildren, Nicholas and Jacob Haley, and Kiley Langlois; and many other loving family and friends. Christine was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Chinnici. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 10815 N 84th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85260. She will be interned at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 23015 N Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Christine’s honor may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Valley.
