Betty Ann Hart Baker Williams (86) of Tempe, Arizona passed away on May 17, 2016. She was born June 7, 1929 in Jerome, Arizona to H.J. and Mackie Hart. Betty and her family lived throughout the state before settling in Tempe where she graduated from Tempe Union High School in 1947. She married Elvis Baker in 1947 after he returned from serving in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Together they had five children. They spent many weekends flying airplanes or enjoying Roosevelt Lake. She had a love for animals of all kinds, enjoyed telling stories and making others laugh, as well as spending time with her large family. Betty married Bob Williams in 1999, and they enjoyed spending time together in the Prescott Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jean Ziegler; her second husband, Bob Williams; her son, John Baker; and her daughter-in-law, Kathi Baker. Betty is survived by her children, Marsha Spring (Pat) of Laveen; Thomas Baker of Tucson; Richard Baker (RuthAnn) of Gilbert; Harry Baker (Paulett) of Durango, Colorado; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and other close friends and relatives. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 27 at Resthaven Park Mortuary and Cemetery (4310 E. Southern Ave.) from 5 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held there on Saturday, May 28 at 10 a.m.
