Richard Allen Ray

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City with Rev. Jack Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Mr. Ray was born November 19, 1945 in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late Jack Lynn Ray and Inez Violet Stewart Ray.

He served in the US Navy and was retired from Jefferson Motor Company and was an avid Georgia "Bull Dog" fan.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jo Ray, daughters, Julie Venable and husband, Eric and Kelly Wingfield all of Jefferson, GA; brother, Steve Ray of Douglasville, GA, grandchildren, Anthony Wingfield, Abbie Venable, Jack Venable, Bryson Wingfield and Chase Wingfield.
