Jonathan Christopher Denney, 37 of Cottonton, AL passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Midtown Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. David Howle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday eveniing from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the Summerville Room of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL.
Jonathan was born October 13, 1976 in Columbus, Georgia. He is the son of Shirley and Bobby Prophitt of Cottonton, AL. He was a member of Ladonia Baptist Church . He loved coke in a bottle, Mickey Mouse, coloring and listening to all varieties of music. He was preceded in death by his paternal father, Horace Denney, Sr.
Other than his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Jessie Denney, Jr. of Phenix City, AL, Jeremy Denney and wife, Diana of Crawford, AL, sister, Jeanne Honnell and husband Jeff of Cottonton, AL, nieces and nephews, Brittany Fowler, Bryce Fowler, Blake Denney, Mareha Belanger, Cameron Denney and Chryslin Denney.
We were blessed to have this angel on earth with us for 37 years. Now he is God's angel in heaven.
