Gladys J. Davis

Gladys J. Davis, age 78, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at her residence. Graveside services are scheduled at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, Alabama on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, 10 a.m., according to Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 4-6 p.m.

Mrs. Davis, daughter of the late Fred Jacobs and Julie White Jacobs, was born May 22, 1941 in Columbus. She was a retired home health nurses aide, where she assisted numerous patients in the Columbus/Phenix City area for over 15 years. Mrs. Davis loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and color. She also had a strong passion for her favorite soap operas. Mrs. Davis attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sybil Sans and Donzolla Jacobs; and a brother, Leland Jacobs.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her partner, Marjie Bilyen; three sons, Michael Davis, William Edward Davis, and Scott Lee Mulligan; two granddaughters, Tristen Davis and Amelia Rose Davis; two sisters, Meathel Jacobs and Vivian Burns; many other relatives and friends.
