Born in Laredo, Texas, she was a lifetime resident of the Rio Grande Valley. Maria was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Maria was a hard working woman that was a role model to her family and friends. She was a strong woman that never gave up in life, who faced adversity with grit and educated her children with love and taught them to be tenacious and strong. Maria lived life to the fullest, she enjoyed music and dancing. She lived her life for her children, they were the light of her eyes. Her unique personality has left beautiful memories in the hearts of her children and family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rafael Vicencio; her seven children, Lisa Marie Gutierrez, Mary Lou Vicencio, Bertha Lee (Hector) Vicencio -Olivares, Leticia (Ventura) Vicencio-Peralez, Rafael (Cecilia) Vicencio Jr., Roberto Vicencio, Maggie Vicencio; a loving son of heart, Jordan Daniel Vicencio; a loving daughter of heart, Selena Gutierrez; 29 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 11 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. A catholic service will take place at 10 am on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
