James Cloud Pittman

MCALLEN-James Cloud Pittman, 75, left to be with the Lord Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. He will be missed by his beloved wife of 55 years, Sylvia Pittman and their children: Elizabeth Brockway, Kathy (Luis) Mancillas, Ana (Weldon) Cude, Sylvia (Ismael) Rodriguez and James (Karen) Pittman Jr. He will also be greatly missed by nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers. He was born to Clarence Raymond Pittman and Helen Torjusen Pittman on September 11, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee. The greatest honor James passed down to his wife and children is to love and honor our great country as he proudly served in the US Air Force. He is now reunited with his brother, Billy Pittman; who has preceded him in death. Family will receive friends today, April 1, 2018 from 4 pm to 9 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 2, 2018 at 2 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palm Valley Funeral Home of Pharr.
