Faith Joy Meurrens

She was born on Oct 8, 1947 to Milton F and Geraldine R (Taron) Johnson in LaMoure, ND. The family moved to Moorhead, MN in 1958 and Faith graduated from Moorhead High School in 1965. Faith began working for Northwestern Bell while in high school and enjoyed a 32 year career, ultimately as a Project Manager in Financial Systems Development, before retiring. While working at Northwestern Bell, Faith transferred to Omaha, NE for a promotion. Her new neighbors said she had to meet their son, and she met her match. Faith married Daniel L Meurrens in 1974. They enjoyed 46 years of marriage full of adventures, volunteering, gardening and spending time with their dogs. Faith also earned her bachelors degree from the College of St. Mary in 1993, while she was working full time and traveling for work, by attending classes on the weekend. She was honored by the College of St. Mary in 2023 with their Alumni Lifetime Achievement award. She was truly an inspiration and will be missed. Faith is predeceased by her husband Dan and her brother Kent M Johnson. She is survived by her brother Delton “Duke” Johnson, nieces and nephews.
