

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Stephen Guillen, who left this world on March 21, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on March 31, 1968, in Glendale, California, Roy was a vibrant and dedicated individual who loved his family dearly. He was a committed father, son, and friend to those who knew him. His presence lit up a room, his laughter caused others to laugh, and his love brought out the best in people.
Roy is survived by his beloved fiancée, Rita Rollins; his father, Bernardo Agusto Guillen Acuña; his mother, Norma Alejandra Salazar Gusèn; and his four sons, Roy Jr., Brian, Scott, and Noah Guillen. Roy was a native Costa Rican and is survived by cousins, aunts, and uncles in Costa Rica. His family and friends will cherish the memories of his warm spirit, unwavering support, and infectious laughter. Always quick to joke with those close to him, Roy always had a smile on his face. He raised a family of boys into outstanding men, supported his parents through all hardships, and loved his fiancée with all his heart.
Roy was a business executive in the technology industry with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. His professional journey left a mark around the globe, including California, England, Taiwan, Texas, and North Carolina. He was an unmatched leader, an amazing boss, and a dedicated peer wherever he worked. Those who had the luxury of working with him had their careers shaped by his mentorship and leadership forever.
A resident of Round Rock, Texas, Roy was deeply embedded in his community and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a devoted family man and a friend to many, always ready to lend an ear or a helping hand. Roy will forever remain in our hearts, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. As a devout follower of Christ, we know Roy is in a better place today.
In honor of Roy Stephen Guillen’s life, a memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 28th, 2025, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. All who knew Roy are invited to celebrate his remarkable journey and the impact he made on those around him. The family requests that you wear colorful clothing in celebration and remembrance of the vibrant life Roy lived.
